Bring about 2 to 3 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat.
Meanwhile, trim ends off of Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow leaves. Cut Brussels sprouts lengthwise down the middle.
Add Brussels sprouts to lightly boiling water and cook until tender, about 4 minutes.
While Brussels sprouts are boiling, add bacon to a skillet over medium heat and cook until crispy. Remove bacon fro skillet and add to a paper towel-lined plate and set aside, leaving bacon drippings in skillet.
Once Brussels sprouts are tender, drain and add to bacon grease. Sear untouched on one side for about 3 minutes. Flip Brussels sprouts over and add capers and lemon juice from half a lemon. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook for another few minutes. Add crumbled crispy bacon and serve.
