Copycat: Bobby's Burger Palace Bacon Crunchburger

Servings 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, 80/20
  • 4 sesame seed buns
  • 4 slices of American Cheese
  • 8 pieces of bacon
  • 20 Lays potato chips, original
  • 1 to 2 tsp of olive oil or avocado oil
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cover baking sheet with aluminum foil and add bacon. Place bacon in preheated oven and bake for 20-30 minutes, depending on how crunchy you like your bacon.
  • While bacon cooks, divide the ground beef into four equal portions and form a burger patty with each portion. Season both sides of burger with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat (cast iron is not necessary but does deliver best results) and add olive oil to the pan. The olive oil will help the burger to get a nice crust. Add burgers to pan and do not touch again until they are ready to flip, about 4 to 5 minutes. Flip burgers and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes or until they've reached desired temperature.
  • Cover each burger with cheese during the last minute of cooking.
  • Sandwich the burgers between sesame seed buns. Top burger with bacon. Next, add 5 lays potato chips.
  • Serve immediately.
