Apple and Chicken Sausage Skillet

Sometimes eggs just do not sound good for breakfast. So what do you eat when you are looking for a healthy and flavorful breakfast minus the eggs?? THIS!!!

This Apple and Chicken Sausage Skillet is so good and it is giving me all of the fall feels. I am always excited to eat my breakfast when I meal prep this skillet.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 Chicken Apple Sausage Links
  • 1/2 cup of raw pecans
  • 2 tbsp clarified butter (ghee)
  • 4 small gala apples, seeded and diced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Add olive oil to skillet over medium heat. Once warm, add chicken sausage and cook four about 5 minutes or until sausage has browned. Transfer sausage to a plate and set aside.
  • Add pecans to skillet and toast for 1 to 2 minutes. Next, add ghee and melt. Once ghee has melted add apples to skillet, sprinkle cinnamon over apples, and saute for about 5 minutes. Add sausage back in skillet with apples and cook for another 2 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
