Brussels sprouts have a really bad reputation. Because of this, I never ate them when I was a kid, and boy was I missing out. Brussels sprouts are now one of my favorite vegetables. I find myself eating them multiple times a week.
These Pan-Seared Brussels Sprouts with Bacon, Capers, and Lemon are absolutely delicious. They will turn any Brussels sprout hater into a lover with one bite!
Pan-Seared Brussels Sprouts with Bacon, Capers, and, Lemon Ingredients
- Brussels Sprouts
- Bacon
- Capers

How I Make These Delicious Brussels Sprouts
- Step one: Bring about 2 to 3 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat.
- Step two: Meanwhile, trim ends off of Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow leaves. Cut Brussels sprouts lengthwise down the middle.
- Step three: Add Brussels sprouts to lightly boiling water and cook until tender, about 4 minutes.
- Step four: While Brussels sprouts are boiling, add bacon to a skillet over medium heat and cook until crispy. Remove bacon from skillet and add to a paper towel-lined plate and set aside, leaving bacon drippings in skillet.
- Sep five: Once Brussels sprouts are tender, drain and add to bacon grease. Sear untouched on one side for about 3 minutes. Flip Brussels sprouts over and add capers and lemon juice from half of a lemon. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook for another few minutes. Add crumbled crispy bacon and serve.
