One of my goals for this blog is to share healthy versions of the delicious food my mom made me growing up and here is one of her recipes that I know you will love! Cherrie Dene’s Green Beans are full of so much flavor and will make you excited about eating your vegetables! And her recipe is already Whole30 compliant!
Cherrie Dene’s Green Beans
Here are my mom’s famous green beans!
Ingredients
- 2 14.5 oz cans of cut green beans
- 2 small russet potatoes
- 4 slices of bacon ( (I used Pederson Farms to make Whole30 compliant)
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a medium sized pot over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until crispy. Once bacon is crispy, add potatoes to the pot. Next, add both cans of beans with water from the can to the pot (the water is what will cook the potatoes). Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover the pot and cook until potatoes are fork tender, about 10 to 12 minutes.
